How to use check-ins

The check-in feature in Dibsido allows users to confirm their desk reservations either through the app or by scanning a QR code at the desk. This ensures that desks are actually used as planned and can help optimize workspace management. If a user fails to check in within a set timeframe, the reservation is automatically canceled, making the desk available for others.

How to Enable Check-ins

  1. Navigate to desk settings:

    • Go to the "Settings" menu within the Dibsido app.

    • Select the "Desks" option to manage your workplaces.

  2. Enable the check-in feature:

    • Under the "Check In & Out" section, toggle the feature on.

    • Set the timeframe for how many minutes before the start of the reservation users can check in.

    • Set the timeframe for how many minutes after the reservation start users can check in before the reservation is automatically canceled.

How Check-ins Work

  • In-app confirmation:

    • Users can confirm their desk reservation directly within the Dibsido app by clicking on the check-in button.

  • QR code check-ins:

    • Users can also check in by scanning a QR code at the reserved desk. This method provides a quick and easy way to confirm their presence at the desk.

Use Cases

  1. Ensuring desk utilization:

    • The check-in feature helps ensure that desks are used as reserved. If a user does not check in, the desk is automatically released for others to book, reducing wasted space.

  2. Flexible scheduling:
